I Make My Own Film
Most photographs start with something bought. A roll, a card, a file. Mine start with a sheet of glass or blackened aluminum and a bottle of collodion I mixed myself.
There is no film in my studio. I make it one piece at a time when you arrive before I make your photograph.

Wet Plate Collodion Tintype Portraits in Lambertville, NJ
Every wet plate collodion portrait I make in my Lambertville studio is a single, one-of-a-kind object — hand-poured, exposed in an antique camera, and developed in front of you while you watch the image rise out of the silver. There is one plate, and it is yours.
